Privacy Notice

This portal is operated for A Bach Waste Management to provide waste-management and recycling reporting to its clients. This notice explains how personal information is processed in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

We process the following personal information about portal users and client contacts: full names, email addresses, telephone numbers, and the company and site details associated with each account.

Personal information is used solely to operate the portal: to authenticate users, to generate and deliver waste-management and recycling reports, to send service notifications, and to maintain the security and reliability of the service.

We do not sell personal information. We share limited information with trusted operators who process it on our behalf and under contract:

• Resend — Email delivery (notifications, reports, password resets)
• Sentry — Error monitoring and application stability
• Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
• Vercel — Application hosting

Some of these operators process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, the transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards as required by POPIA.

Personal information is retained for as long as an account is active and for any period required to meet legal and reporting obligations. Retention and disposal periods are set out in our internal retention policy: [retention period to be confirmed by the Information Officer].

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or outdated information.
• Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Object to processing in certain circumstances.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Authenticated users may request an export of their own account record, or submit a deletion request, from within their account settings.
